**POCCA’s requests to the towns:

2 – Join the towns from last year:  Brewster, Orleans, Eastham, Dennis in taking the next step by writing a letter to MDAR requesting to be included in the adjudicatory hearing this year prior to any spraying by Eversource.

Our mission was on the front page of the Cape Cod Times Wednesday April 12th:

~ JOIN POCCA’s mission! ~

We will send updates in hopes to have town residents join the Selectmen’s meetings to show more support on this important matter.

~ Also, please see the attached document below by Senator Julian Cyr who wrote in opposition of the unnecessary use of herbicides above our aquifer. Thanks goes out to Julian!

POCCA Seeks:

Cape residents and visitors to donate some time and join us working closely with town boards and connecting to other citizens to help our waters here on and around the Cape.

Our other current mission is to knock on doors of abutters of power lines, ask for their Easement on the deed of their land and request a copy of it for our records.

On the easements it will state how vegetation is to be maintained along power lines.
NOT ONE has said with the use of chemicals, they say mechanical or hand methods.

We are hoping for six easements per town of the ten towns on the YOP this year and the three towns on MV too. The towns again are Brewster, Chatham, Dennis, Edgartown, Falmouth, Harwich, Oak Bluffs, Orleans, Sandwich, Tisbury, or Yarmouth.
Thank you ahead of time for donating your time to this important mission  :)
Please scan the two-page easement and send to:   poccacapecod@gmail.com ~ thank you.
